A Safe, Respectful & Joyful Community

These guidelines help everyone connect, share skills, and build meaningful experiences on Strings Social. All users (Consumers & Service Providers) must follow them.

Overview & Applicability

These Community Guidelines apply to all users and all on-platform interactions (profiles, messages, listings, media, bookings). Our goal is a welcoming space that is safe, reliable, and joyful for everyone.

1) In-Person Services Only

  • All services must be delivered face-to-face and in person.
  • Digital-only or remote services (webinars, video calls, online courses) are not permitted.
  • Exception: Free, community-driven Buddy or Volunteer services may use digital interactions but must be clearly labeled as such.

2) Positive Community Participation

  • Be welcoming: practice kindness, empathy, and openness.
  • Be supportive: share knowledge generously and uplift others.
  • Be joyful: interact with positivity and a spirit of collaboration.
  • Be respectful: value diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skills.
  • Be reliable: honor your commitments—punctuality builds trust.
  • Be social: use Strings Social to build friendships, networks, and community bonds.

3) Respectful Conduct

Treat all users with respect and professionalism. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Sexual, explicit, violent, or exploitative content.
  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, or abuse.
  • Discrimination based on gender, religion, caste, age, orientation, disability, or other traits.
  • Zero-Tolerance CSAE:

Any attempt to create, promote, or distribute Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) content results in immediate permanent ban and legal reporting. See our Child Safety Standards.

4) Transparency & Trust

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile and listings.
  • Do not impersonate or misrepresent skills or identity.
  • Honor your bookings—be punctual and reliable.
  • Keep reviews honest, constructive, and respectful.

5) Safety First

  • Meet in safe, public, or mutually agreed secure locations.
  • Report suspicious or unsafe behavior immediately via in-app tools or support.
  • If you feel unsafe, you may abort the service and report the issue.
  • Weapons, violence, unsafe activities, and narcotics are strictly prohibited.

6) Prohibited Activities

  • Illegal services (narcotics, controlled substances, arms, human trafficking, illegal gambling).
  • Sexual services or content (explicit, suggestive, disguised).
  • Fraudulent or misleading listings.
  • Spam, bots, malware, phishing, scraping.
  • Circumventing bans or creating fake or duplicate accounts.
  • Unrelated or commercial spam outside the platform scope.

7) Accountability & Enforcement

Violations may result in any of the following, depending on severity and history:

  • Content removal
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to authorities for severe cases (e.g., CSAE, narcotics, fraud, criminal activity)

Repeated or severe violations may lead to immediate permanent removal.

8) Minors & Vulnerable Groups

  • Strings Social is for users 18+.
  • Services involving children (e.g., coaching for minors) must occur in safe, supervised settings (parental consent recommended).
  • Exploitation of minors or vulnerable groups is strictly prohibited.

10) Reporting & Support

  • Use in-app reporting to flag inappropriate content, unsafe behavior, or policy violations.
  • Urgent issues (fraud, CSAE, narcotics, threats) are escalated to the Grievance Officer / SPOC.
